Putrajaya Night Marathon 2016

Ok done another 10km for 2016 for the Putrajaya Night Marathon berlansung pada 12 November lalu - hoping this won't be the last for this year.  Ada lagi satu target ni tapi tengok keadaan macamana lah ye... Macam ni lah baru nak berjinak- jinak.  Bagi 10km dulu banyak banyak pastu kita try 21, pastu full pulak ye?  Kalau mampu hahaha.  Tapi untuk personal rekod memang dah set akan cuba juga suatu hari nanti, in shaa Allah.  Kita bagi fit badan dulu k.  Sekarang tengah recovery ni, so buat slow jog aje alternate days lepas rehat 3 hari.

Hujan, gerimis malam tu dekat lokasi.  Belum cerita kesesatan diperjalanan nak ke Putrajaya.  Hahahah asyik masuk salah exit je.  Kemudian pakai waze pula, asyik hilang connection, tak ada line.  Apekah?  Dengan nak terkenc*** nya kesejukan sebab sepanjang jalan hujan lebat.

Takde lah nak post sebab nak tunjuk kehebatan diri.  Buat post pasal run ni pun sebab nak rekodkan memori sebagai kenang- kenangan hahahaa.  Heyyyyy, you think it's easy achievement for someone my weight and laziness level?  Plus, I'm a mother of 3 whose kids grab my pants whenever they see me getting ready.  Susah tau nak escape anak- anak... Sila ketawa kemenangan sangat... I told my eldest, I'll be back right after Maghrib (tipu sunat sikit sebab kalau cakap lambat memang dia akan ikut).  Tak baik tau Mommy tipu anak, sebab habis je run, call rumah I dah kena bebel dengan Ayesha sebab 'ini dah lama selepas Maghrib habis, Mommy...'  Bayang la baru nak tarik napas lega, kena bebel pula.  Kau rasa?

Putrajaya Night ni event agak famous jugak kan?  Kata kawan- kawan yang memang kaki, event sebelum- sebelum ni ditaja BSN.  Tapi agaknya this year since semua orang berjimat, event pon seperti berjimat juga.  Tak taulah if I sorang yang kecewa tengok kualiti baju... Hmmmm.

First time,

#lari dalam gerimis - baru start off dah ada yang tergelincir malam tu.
#lari malam - nasib cuaca sejuk, jalan raya tidak panas haha.
#lari tanpa gps - dok wondering lahhh dah berapa kilo I lari ni huwaaaaa.
#lari dari anak- anak, sedang mereka dalam jaga.

Monstrous little creature

Small, but horrible creature.  Monstrous.  Evil.

The aedes mosquito.  It gives you DENGUE.

Baru beberapa hari ni Mr.B recovered from dengue.  My kids were showing the same symptoms too but because they drink plenty of water, they recovered really quickly.  So they were never really diagnosed with dengue, it could be just viral. My poor poor poor munchkins.

Unlike Mr.B, masa mula-mula kena tu Hari Merdeka, tiba-tiba complaint of terrible backache.  Ok serious I memang rasa sangat-sangat guilty sebab I selalu ada perception that men are just manja ok... bila sakit sikit, merengek lebih sedangkan kita ni macam nak mati sakit pon selalu diam aje.  After that backache he had a fever immediately.  I sendiri pon start malam tu, tidur menggigil-gigil tapi lansung tak ada fever, just shivers and join was aching like crazy but was still able to get up and look after the kids.  Adohaiiii kesian nye encik suami saya.  Memang hari merdeka tu lansung tak bole bangun all he did was 'hibernate' dalam bilik, under the duvet, fans and air-conditioning off.

Masuk hari ke-3 memang tak boleh tahan so I suruh dia buat blood test.  Turns out memang dengue tapi his platelet was 125 which I guessed was not very low sebab tak kena warded pun... Lagipun abang sadooo ahaaahahaha so sick also doesn't look very sick.  Kesian ok berulang ke hospital everyday for blood test.

Munchkins bertiga pula took turns sakit, very very high fever so suppository was on standby 8 hourly, syrup paracetamol and sponging.  I turned up for work macam zombie lah dekat 2 minggu... Panda eyes, Gucci Prada eyebag segala, skin very dry and oily in some areas because I didn't sleep well enough.  Gosh I can feel age was catching up.  Sambil menyumpah juga makhluk kecik yang bole cause you so much trouble.  Dekat dalam rumah dan kawasan rumah memang dah sedaya upaya jaga supaya tak ada air bertakung etc... But of course there are those that are beyond your control, maka redhaaaaa kan lah.

By the way, once detected your case will be reported to Pejabat Kesihatan Daerah or something like that.  Someone turned up yesterday from Jabatan Kesihatan, saying they will be coming for fogging in the area today and would like to fog inside the house too.  The guy also gave me 4 containers in which 2 he put outside and the other 2 to be placed in the kitchen and bathroom each.  Katanya perangkap nyamuk sebab nak test sehari untuk pastikan takde nyamuk dalam rumah ke apa tah...

All in all Alhamdulillah things didn't get any worse.  I was kinda worried with Zika and whatnot these day.  I told my family to load up on drinks.  Water water water.  Please kids, and Mr.B.  Getting kiddos to drink is definitely much easier than getting Mr B to load up.  My kids and plain water are inseparable.  Sama macam Mommy, tak dapat air kosong rasa macam nak mati hahahaha.

***************************
Nah baca pasal dengue,

1. WHO - Dengue and Severe Dengue
2. Dengue fever (Wikipedia)

The doctors cuma pesan banyakkan air la... So I memang bebel tentang kepentingan air pada husband.  Hehehe ok bebel is my middle name.

***************************
Update
Hey we're doctors now let's take a wefie.

14 September - Pejabat kesihatan datang buat fogging area kami, so diarahkan buka pintu dan tingkap supaya dapat sembur ke dalam.  I dok heran kenapa la jiran semua dok luar, ooo kena keluar kot. Ok takpela kids jom jap lagi kita keluar...

Tiba- tiba bunyi orang fogging dah sampai tepi pagar, you can see thick smoke coming towards us.  Kiddos got really scared because depan kita nampak gumpalan asap putih tapi suasan nampak hitam, dengan bunyi mesin yang kuat.  You can't imagine how my little ones would've felt.  Punya lah scary dengan Mr B takde.  Luckily I cepat berfikir, so I grabbed them before the smoke came towards us, and lock ourselves inside the smallest room.  I hugged them, and since we were already wearing masks I said heyyy kids, look at us we've all become doctors so let's take a selfie hahahaha.  Berjaya la pujuk diorang sebab my kids memang suka ambil gambar ponnnnnn.

So lesson learnt, kalau orang Kesihatan kata nak datang fogging dalam rumah, better get out of the house la.  Eventho pakai mask, mata pedih juga sikit- sikit.  Duduk bilik tu ok, sebab asap very minimal tapi bermaksud tak cover la fogging untuk bilik tu... Tu je la nak share hehehe.

Sufma Fun Run 2016 , couldn't be worse for me

Oh this fun run I attended during the Merdeka week was an act of desperation - to run and get fit, get a medal.  Life was too hectic I was missing all the great running events :( .  So since the fun run was part of where I work's event I decided to register myself.  I went on my own, this time without my buddies, but I met some friends from work.  So it wasn't all alone ranger kinda thing hahaha.

Imagine guys, pushing my heavyweight body to do this whenever I can, just because I found peace in doing so... I was surprised myself...

Anyway but this time I was really pushing it. I was sick for a few days already and the night before the event, I was vomiting non-stop.  Didn't know what was wrong until I got my period the next day.  Gosh the tracks were so hilly, it was going upwards all the way, from the beginning. Ahahaha, Ok maybe I exaggerated but the tracks were mostly hilly.

All in all,

My timing was really really really baaaddddddd. It was the longest ever,

My feet hurts,

The flag off was really late it was already sunny when we started,

It rained during my 7th and 8th kilometres *tears*

But I did it anyway ngeeeeeee

Melawati 10km Run

It was something I was looking forward to , to kick start my 2016 😝😝😝.  Although already in the midst of Jan 16, but this was my first "me" time after a hectic end of year and early 2016.

I wasn't that great, imagine carrying my heavy body weight uphill several times It was like suicide hahaha.  The route was quite challenging for a beginner like me because there were several spots that were very hilly for my level.  Though the weather had been kind to us, it was cool along the way.

But strong determination brought me to the finish line.  Gotta admit that I feel more fit now that this was my third of such event.  My timing was better, and yes I only did walk a few miles while the rest was slow jog.  If anything I was proud of me.

Nice t-shirt, stunning looking medal, cereals and yummy milo, interesting zumba at the end of the event.  Parking was convenient, marshalls were everywhere to control the traffic and to make sure everyone followed the correct route.   One thing I didn't quite like was the fact that there were only 2 water stations.  I wish I brought along my water bottle which I decided to leave in the car.

Looking forward to my next run.

Zehra's 18 Months Jab

If you are a mother of 18 months old baby or so you probably would’ve heard of the shortage of the vaccines at private clinics and hospitals. The government clinics were no exception, except they have had replenishment in batches and because there are too many demands they too have shortage which causes you to be in waiting line.

Zehra, my first twins has had difficulties in getting hers. From the very beginning of her schedules she had delayed her vaccination because poor girl had been consistently falling sick. So our paediatrician advised that we only did hers when she’s well. She had sensitive lungs as a baby and was easily infected. Then when she was well and we were ready, we were put under waiting list for so long and was given the same update over and over again, that the clinic is out of stock and I would have to wait.

I was told to go to the government schedule, and I was 100% to blame for delaying this further due to my busy work schedule. With new job and what not it was difficult to sort things out. Until recently, I took some days off of work and decided to go to a nearby government clinic. Obviously, my sterotypical thoughts of how the nurses would have reacted had told me to be prepared for the worst and nasty remarks by them. But of course, it didn’t happened that way. We managed to get Zehra a slot in March. You read that right, March 😂😂😂.  Anyway, the process was super smooth. I didn’t have to wait that long for the slot.
# I brought Zehra’s Rekod Kesihatan Bayi dan Kanak-Kanak to the Klinik Kesihatan.
# I told the nurse at registration counter that my child will be 3 soon and she had missed her 18 months jab because she had been sick. Followed by how we had waited so long at private clinic only now to be told to come here. The lady nicely told me I can proceed to room12, just drop her book at the counter there. She also told me that the 18 months have now become 24 months vaccine.
# In room 12, I told the nurse the same stories, with added concern if it’s too late for the vaccine now.
# She said its Ok, this booster jab can be taken anytime between 18 months to 4 years old.
# She then told me they only do jabs on Monday and Wednesday, and that the only available slot is in March.
# I went hooray hooray and said I’ll take it. It’s now or never.
# Wallaa we have an appointment this coming March. Now it’s up to Zehra. She’s gotta be up for this.

I think different government clinics have different procedure, maybe. Some may put you on waiting list, some will give you appointment right away. But hey, if you ever need to go there, feel free to ask their procedure. Ask nicely, as there are lodsa people waiting there. It’s one of the busiest place on planet. Be nice and maybe they’ll consider being nice to you😊.

How I lived 2015

SO we said goodbye to 2015 a week ago.  I am taking the opportunity to wish everyone Happy New Year.

2015 was THE year for me.  It was the year to be remembered, but not at all missed.  I hadn't done much in achieving the year resolution, whatever that was I recorded at the beginning.  Oh wait, I didn't have any, because the year did not start that well.

  • It was the year I though I was going to lose my mom.  Alhamdulillah, we still have her today.  She isn't the same person, to her and those around her, maybe, but she is the same mom who gave birth to the 6 of us, our first teacher, this lady who put herself last in everything.  We can never repay all that she had done, so the least we can do for Mak now is look after her.  Subhanallah, the feeling to be able to look after her is so beautiful, though sometimes heartbreaking at the same time.

  • In the same year, I made a huge step to change job.  I had left my comfort zone for good 6 years.  No regrets, no looking back, although I do miss the people back there.  They had been so kind to me.  I took up new challenges, bringing new hope and dream with me.

Ok, these next two are interesting hahaha.  The 7X kilogram me, did something un-expected last year.  No no I did not lose weight, at least not much.  I did lose 5kg of my post-pregnancy weight but I am happy with my weight now.  What I did were entered myself into;

  • My first marathon.  I ran my first marathon Subhanallah.  My first 10KM at Larian MAKSAK in Putrajaya.  I wasn't that great, it was half-run and half-walk kinda thing.  Ah well maybe mostly walk :P but it doesn't matter, I did what was beyond me.  It was indeed an experience to be remembered.  It took me 1 hour 30 minutes or so to finish 10km guys.  Inconsistent training, losing my breath but I was one happy Mommy when I got to the finish line.  Superb, I tell you.  I had never done anything like this, and I will do it again.

  • Then, I also joined the Reebok Spartan Race.  This was a total challenge guys.  I took myself to the next level.  Like literally hahahahaha.  It was a hurdle race, with like 20 over challenges including fire, barb wire, mud, and all that heavy and dirty stuff.  Not my thing but it was totally worth it.  The race had changed the way I think of myself, my abilities and everything about me.  Well, it was all about me which was why I decided to join the race.  I wanted to do something nice for myself after all these years, after all had happened.

It wasn't all good, but it was a year to remember.  Welcome 2016.

Green juice hehehe

Saje nak share, resepi baru-baru ni untuk menurunkan tekanan darah.  Just recently asyik sakit kepala, pening, rasa berdegup (palpitation), dan sebelah tangan tak boleh nak gerak (tangan kiri).  Sekali cek, rupanya tekanan darah agak tinggi.  Ooooo macam tu rupanya rasa darah tinggi.  Mana nak tau selama ni darah rendaaahh aje.

Masa gi cek dekat doc tu, doc tau ada history bleeding aneurysm dalam family.  Mak I kan kena bleeding aneurysm, so doc cakap benda alah ni adalah hereditary.  Bila mak ada, sangat besar possibilities yang my sister and I pun ada, dan begitu juga lah my daughters nanti.  Nauzubillah, makin berdegup lah saya ni.  Tapi doc tak prescribe any meds pon.  Doc cakap, sebab umur masih uda, cuba bertenang, bawak bersenam regularly, jaga makan, rehat dan kurangkan stress.  In sha Allah, akan terkawal.  But doc ada cakap juga lah tak semua orang lucky, dan tekanan dia turun kembali.  Ada orang masih perlukan bantuan ubat.

Anyway, maka bemula lah journey green juice itu.  I mula ambil green apple setiap hari, 2 kali sehari.  2 biji apple hijau + one carrot setiap kali bersama belalai gajah (snake grass), peria katak laa dan macam- macam lagi cuba nak kurang kan tekanan.  Sanggup lah tetiba beli juicer yang murah- murah tu ha, kemudian sentiasa make sure ada nye buah- buahan ini di rumah.

Taraaaaa. Green apple + snake grass.  Rasa apple jer even though I put like 25 snake grass leaves.
Actually juicing is not as bad as it sounds, or as bad as I thought it would be.  It's just that the effort, yang kurasakan susah sikit.  Ye la, nak clean fruits, chop chop, juice, then wash and dry.  Malasssss.  Tapi malas pun terpaksa lah ye.

Dah almost 3 weeks ni minum juice apple.  Bila tak dan, makan buah aje.  Tapi boleh la, dapat lah merasakan perubahan.  Ada kurang sakit kepala, sakit kat dada dan sebagainya.  Hopefully nothing bad will hapen lah ya.

Kalau korang jenis suka juicing ni, boleh la experiment macam- macam juice lagi.  Mixture of fruits, emmm not so bad you know.  Sedap dan mengenyangkan.  For someone who only drinks coffee and plain water, I can fill up with juices plus 3 scoops of oat bran and skip dinner altogether.  Nice, right?
Some recipes you can try, untuk kurang kan tekanan darah tinggi dengan menggunakan apple dan carrot sebagai base adalah,
1) 2 green apples + 1 carrot + 1 celery (I tak suka bau celery tu bacin yikes so I cuma cuba sekali je)
2) 2 green apples + 1 carrot + 1 bitter gourd (Boleh la letak 5 biji peria tu kalo korang sanggup. Aku memang sekali ajela).
3) 2 green apples + 1 carrot + 1 start fruit (This one memang win.  I suka suka suka).

Boleh lah google lagi pelbagai resepi.  Kalau takde high blood pressure pun boleh minum untuk kesihatan dalaman.

Rose bud tea

Don't know why.  Since this morning my colleague and I dok sibuk cakap pasal natural and organic food, natural remedies, healthy living etc.  Pastu dia datang dekat my cubicle and showed me she is currently drinking some herbal tea for her period pain.  Woosshhh cakap pasal period pain ni memang endless.  I kalau period pain ni memang tak dapat hidup aman selama 2-3 minggu lah rasa. Before, after, in the middle. Annoying.  Must admit jugak lah, recently baca kisah- kisah wanita muda yang mengalamai kidney failure caused by drugs (painkillers etc) dah cukup menakutkan.  I have a family to look after.  Jadi kena jaga kesihatan.

So my friend bagi lah I try ni.  Rose bud tea.  Sebelum rendam tu comel-2 kuntum bunga tu.  Geram I.  Me being me memang skeptical sikit nak try menda- menda makan ni.  I suka play safe when it comes to makan.  Eat only what I know.  Takde la membazir.  Gitu.  So before try this dah macam.  Errrr rasa apa ni.  Wangi ke rasa dia (pernah tak makan kat Indian restaurant where they gave you this benda wangi untuk you makan selepas makan.  Hate it).  Payau ke.  Pahit ke.  Didn't know what to expect.

Bila dah rendam tu pon still in doubt.  Mula- mula bau dia rasa macam bau bunga yang dah buruk, dah layu.  Pastu macam emm.  Wangi?  Sweet?  Rasa sikit.  Panas gilerrr sebab tumbler stainless steel ni mak aiiii hehehe.  Bila dah minum sikit, sedap.  Minum lagi, sedap.  Last- last habis satu tumbler.

So I googled lah khasiat- khasiat rose bud ni.  Mainly khasiat dia nampak bersesuaian dengan women.  Yes, it has a lot of benefit.  Mostly for the general well- being.  Some of them yang I boleh pick-up ialah, relieves period pain, kurangkan fatigue,  mencegah dan mengurangkan wrinkles pada kulit, untuk kesihatan uterus, untuk blood circulation yang lancar, dan banyak lagi.  Memang menarik lah.  Rasanya boleh dijadikan amalan minum 2x sehari, pagi dan malam.  Minum suam- suam atau panas- panas.  My friend cerita, ni zaman dinasti Cina dulu- dulu only the queen yang minum tau!  Buat mandi pon boleh.  Waaaa imagine mandi dengan rose bud dalam bath tub.  Tak rasa macam queen ke.  Hehehe.

Ok so jom lah bergegas ke 'sensei' petang ni untuk beli rose tea ni.  Manalah tau period bulan depan dah takde sakit- sakit lagi?  Mana tau, kan?  Tak salah cuba.  Besides ni bukan drugs pon.  InshaAllah selamat :).  Kat mana lagi ada jual kat Malaysia ni ek, selain kedai sensei?  Siapa tau?

Our Getaway (Not)

The girls are hospitalised AGAIN...

Sick that they are...

I managed to capture the best of them *grin*

This time their lungs were (AGAIN) infected due to prolonged coughing, flu and fever (on and off).  Took me a while to bring them back to KPJ, due to busy schedule (selfish) and in consideration that maybe just one of them warded, where would I then be.

O' Allah,
# Cure them from their ilness,
# I would rather endure the pain, for them,
# Grant them the best of health for now, and for the future,
# Give me the strength to care for my three princess, and be the best mother and example to them.
# You are, the most capable and all powerful.

It has been 3 days, I have a feeling we will be here for a while...

GBS..errr G what???

"Group B streptococcus, or GBS, also known as group B strep, is one of many different bacteria that normally live in our bodies. Approximately one third of us "carry" GBS in our intestines without knowing." Source: www.babycenter.com.my on Group B Stretococcus.
P/S: Boleh lah baca pasal GBS ni kat link atas tu ek... I am not a doctor so I dare not write about it.

I swear never in my life have I heard of such bacteria, let alone know that such bacteria had lived in my body!  Yes, no joke, for info I was informed that this bacteria was the reason I had delivered my babies premature.  Sedih, kan.  To know that you are the cause, the cause for them to suffer, put their lives on the line.  Which mother (yes, which, except those yang suka buang- buang anak), wants their children to be sick, unhealthy.

Nevertheless, Alhamdulillah, both babies are now safe and sound.  They are also free from GBS.  Yes, GBS could infect your baby too, I heard causing your baby to be paralysed.  According to the pediatrician yang treat my twins tu, they had given them antibiotics and my babies were free from the bacteria.

I have yet to schedule an appointment with my gynae to discuss further on the bacteria.  Life is too hectic now, what with the twins who got sick from pneumonia, rota virus, anemia and fever, then the arrangement to stay in Kampung for a while, and the weekend visit, my working in Seremban for a few weeks, macam- macam lagi ler (excuses) kekekeke.  Nanti kena pergi jugak, promise!  Though I have already spoken to the Medical Officer from Hosp. Serdang, and she told me that this GBS can't be treated, and I need to be on antibiotic for my next pregnancy as a precaution.  Kalau tak, hemm, tulah.  Boleh cause miscarriage or early delivery, such as the case of the twins, deliver masa 31 weeks.

Macamana boleh detect ada GBS?  Right after labour, the gynae dekat Serdang came to see me.  She asked me if I felt anything different within a week nak bersalin tu.  I told her, that ada sikit rasa sakit nak buang air and dekat lower abdomen.  She asked why I didn't get myself checked up, and I went silent.  What I didn't tell her was, that, I had felt as if something was wrong during my pregnancy all the time, complaint about the pain too many times, got myself checked too many times, but all that they had ever told me was - 'there is nothing wrong with you, biasa lah tu bila mengandung memang macam tu!'  Masa pregnant kan twins, ya Allah, pain sana sini, I had green discharge, macam- macam lah.  Semua test negative, both private and government.  Belum masuk kena maki hamun kat Klinik Kesihatan Batu 9 lagi, by this doctor perempuan yang bermuka ketat yang bila tanya what is wrong with you, you must give her stratight answer, jangan bagi details.  I assume that this was because they had tested for the wrong bacteria!  Fools.

Ohhh back to the how Serdang found out I had GBS (thank you doctors and nurses at Serdang, you had been nothing but wonderful to us), they took vaginal swab after I gave birth.  After the third day, the doctor informed GBS was the cause for my premature delivery.

Anyway, yang sudah tu sudah.  It was something that made me re-think my choices, to have more children in the future, because it was what I wanted - to have a big beautiful family like where I came from.  I was raised in big, chaotic family, have great relationship with my siblings, mashaAllah, how can I not want the same thing now, kan???  Tapi, agaknya kalau keadaan ni membahayakan nyawa dan masa depan anak, haruslah difikirkan kembali.  It is something that I will need to discuss with my gynae later on, whether it is safe to have more children, whether antibiotic will really make a difference.

Till then, kena lah hargai saat- saat indah bersama tiga anak sedia ada :-)

Adrina and Reflux

Adrina Amani has a serious reflux issue.  Memang sejak lahir lagi.  All kinda tests were conducted including ultrasound to make sure there is nothing else is wrong with her, other than saluran dia yang belum matang causing milk to be pushed up her esophagus (eh betul ke eja hehehe).  In the end it was concluded that she has a severe reflux condition.  Due to the severeness, drugs don't do it for her.  She was prescribed Omeprazole and Motillium to manager her vomiting and reflux, but neither works :-(.  Boleh baca pasal reflux in premature babies kat sini: How to handle your premature baby's reflux

To manage her reflux pon dah buat all kinda things.  Paling menyampah bila doctors (yes doctors, we had been to many doctors for opinion) asked did you burp her?  Its like hellooooo this ain't my first child, I know the basics such as burping your child after bottle feeding.  We also tried reducing her milk and feeding her regularly.  Ni maksudnya to also tolerate her crying lah sebab lapar kan.  Didn't work.  Feed her 10ml, she vomits 10 right back at ya.  Ini lah sebab nye Mommy bermandikan muntah hehehe.

The latest reflux management recommended by paed was this,

Feeding with Novalac AR or breastmilk + rice cereal.

Remember in this post ada cerita sikit pasal the anti reflux formula (AR)?  In the end doctor has advised that breastmilk to be fully eliminated from her diet.  Sad.  How very sad. Doc wants to see if her vomiting improves without the breastmilk.  You see, breastmilk ni sangat cair so for reflux babies, susu tu lagi mudah naik semula.  The AR formula on the other hand, has corn starch.  Ni yang buat susu tu jadi pekat bila masuk dalam perut.  Result?  Memang kurang sikit la frequency muntah dia.  Volume masih banyak bila muntah tu.

My EBM yesterday at 9am.  Simpan as stock for Zehra jer la.
I think doctor pon macam kesian, u know that my babies had been on breastmilk and tetiba bg formula.  So she said, try this, something that can be done but very rare.  She asked me to get the rice cereal and add half scoop into 2 ounce breastmilk.  This will help thicken the milk.  Again, in my previous entry, Milk, I mentioned this.  However this method doesn't work for Adrina.  She vomits less with the AR formula.

As of today, vomiting dia masih banyak tapi  less frequent.  Kesian Adrina, tak dapat kebaikan susu ibu.  Nanti dah sihat tukar semula yer sayang :-( Please dhua that she will get better quickly, that she will outgrow her reflux in no time.  Till the next entry, taaa.

The never ending sickness...

Yes, that's what it feels like at the moment, and no, I am not complaining.  In fact, I am far from complaining.  Let's be thankful that I am able to experience the morning sickness for a good reason.  In fact two, good reasons InshaAllah.

However I am not as strong as I seem to be lar... Kat office boleh lagi nak keraskan muka buat macam takde apa- apa.  Balik rumah sebab ada tempat bermanja mula la. Ehek sana, ehek sini.

Especially bila harini dah berkali- kali mengadap lubang tandas.  Ohhh bila sebut toilet bowl, teringat aksi anak dara saya meniru aksi- aksi muntah saya di toilet bowl.  Uwekk uwekkk kata beliau.  Caught red- handed by Daddy.  LOL.  Funny, that she is mocking me.  Not funny that Mommy is really really sick, honey.  OK but I didn't fail to laugh at her jokes.

Anyway, the morning sickess takde tanda- tanda nak mengurang lagi.  Though from diet point of view, dah boleh sikit- sikit makan seafood like kerang and prawns.  No red meat or chicken or fish yet.  Mostly veges (spinach only la for now).  I can eat rice already, yes so that's new.  No more bread-only diet.  Am glad that I could eat, little by little, for my babies sake :-).  Still not much of water intake, pressure is still low sometimes.  I try to drink juices as advised by my Obgyn, but I am a bit scared that I might turn diabetic.  I am also already showing signs of oedema.

May it all be easier soon, I want to start enjoying this pregnancy :-)

Makan Supplement Masa Pregnant

Bila pregnant ni, kita orang Melayu terutama selalu terpedaya dengan mitos- mitos berkenaan dengan supplement provided by our O&G specialist.  Takyah tengok jauh, mak mertua dengan mak aku sendiri orang paling utama percaya dengan mitos ni.  Kalau makan anak jadi besarlah, ape lah.  Kalau iye pon anak besar, tak happy ke anak membesar dengan sihat?  Kita lagi redha badan kita je gemuk, anak keluar tak cukup khasiat?  Iye, memang besar susah nak push, tapi, have we ever tried to educate ourselves with the reasons why the supplements/ the vitamins are important for us, for the child we are carrying?  Have we ever thought that, if we are lacking any of it, the baby may not have enough and this may cause harm to the baby.  Deficiency in certain vitamins can cause birth defects!  Ingat tu!

Based on experience, masa first trimester ni doctor akan bagi folic acid yang paling utama nye.  Additional to the folic acid would be iron tablets, B-Complex, Calcium (kalau tak minum susu dan mabuk- mabuk nye time ni sesuai makan).  Masuk second and third trimester, doctor bagi obimin dan additionally aku ambik calcium lah, as usual.  Obimin ni tak silap aku contains combination of all.

Bear in mind, vitamins ni ada je dalam makanan kita kalau kita makan makanan seimbang.  Tapi dah nama pun mengandung, kena topup sikit in case kurang.  Kalau kena mabuk takleh makan macam aku, hemmm.  Lagi la lembik kalau tak makan vitamin, apa la khasiat yang anak ada kan.   Tapi kan, kalau tengah mabuk giler makan B-Complex memang ko sendawa menda alah tu je la sampai ke sudah sampai meloya.  Hehehe.

Jom nak highlight sikit, extracted from several different sites, tentang each vitamin yang aku ambik dan kenapa penting nye vitamin ni.

Folic acid - membantu menyokong placenta dan mengelakkan spina bifida dan other neural tube defects (which affects the brain and spinal cord).  Cer google sket spina bifida tu, aduhai.  Atau leh baca kat sini: http://www.lucinafoundation.org/birthdefects-spinabifida.html .  Na'uzubillah.  Semoga Allah jauhkan anak- anak kita dari birth defect sebegini :-(

Iron - membantu menghasilkan hemoglobin, prevents anemia, low birth weight dan premature delivery.  Iron ni mostly dalam red meat, macam aku dulu kurang iron diorang suruh makan kerang.  Tau tak, kalau ko anemic bole menyebabkan preterm delivery.  Kesian kat anak... Cubalah ek, makan makanan yang kaya dengan iron ni.  Makan bayam pon ok.  Tapi tulah, bila dah mengandung ni, nutrient kita banyak diserap anak, so nak bagi cukup try la makan supplement.

Calcium -  Oh btw kalau anda macam saya, dah la lactose intolerance, nak makan apa pun tak boleh, dan baru sikit mengandung dah sakit belakang, sakit kaki dan sebagainya, silakan la makan pil calcium.  Calcium ni untuk strong bones and teeth, prevent blood clots and also helps muscles and nerves function.

B- Complex -eurhhh rasanye, baunye, sangat tidak memberansangkan.  Busukkkkkkkkkk.  Apa ada dalam B- complex, ada thiamine, niacin, folic acid, biotin, pantothenic acid, vitamin B6 dan vitamin B12.  Doctor bagi kat aku, apparently untuk bagi selera sikit makan.  Antara kebaikan B-Complex adalah to support and increase metabolism rate, maintain healthy hair and muscle tone, enhance immune and nervous system function, promote cell growth and division, including that of the red blood cells that prevent anemia, and also reduces risk of pancreatic cancer.  Fuhhh berjela kebaikan nye.  Tapi jangan lah ambik over sangat, ikut apa yang doctor prescribe.

Obimin - Obimin pulak mengandungi combination of essential vitamins and mineral.  Aku masa dah masuk second trimester memang makan obimin dan calcium je.  Tak makan dah individual vitamin tu.  Tu yang MIL tengok, eeee makan vitamin nanti anak besar.  Erkkkk.  Sila tambah ilmu pengetahuan sebelum berkata- kata.  Maaf.

Generally how obimin looks like.  Courtesy Mr Google.

Dentist

All my life I had tried my best to avoid dentist visit.  Took great care of my teeth as a child, and believe me, never had tooth extraction at the clinic.  Whenever Abah mentioned that I was to go to dentist to pull that one out, I did my very best to extract the teeth on my own.

As a teenagers, I never did the routine checkup.  I remember throughout high school it was either the compulsary dental check up in school or none.  Oh wait, there was once in year 9 where I had chewed some sweets and my premolar broke into pieces (the same one causing the problem now).

Then came the wisdom tooth season, and the four 'gang' didn't grow up properly.  Two were impacted and I was given the option to take out all 4, i.e. no option.  Then I dreaded once again, hospitalized for 3 days, went through General Anaesthetic to extract the 4 beauties, NOT.  One painful procedure, I remember I couldn't have proper food for 2 months and ended up losing 13 kilos.  Not to worry, I gained more than that now.

I got pregnant years after that and was forced to have at least one dental check up.  Couldn't drink milk due to lactose intolerance and so I had brittle teeth just as brittle as my nails.  I often skipped the calcium pills prescribed too, because I am simply bad with pills.  Went during the second trimester, at 7 months.  Doctor said condition was really bad and too late to do anything.  That was all to that.  Didn't have the gut to revisit.

Came breastfeeding years (of about 2 now) and I simply couldn't take it anymore.  I had cavities, and it was a deep one.  This one had pressed my nerve and caused great pain even as I swallowed.  Toughened up and call the dentist nearby.  Guess what, 3 painful visits.  Had to do 'root canal treatment', and believe me.  I cried during the second and third visit.

Through this recent visit I am reminded why I hated dentist so much.  With dentist, you often feel helpless.  Its like your life is in their hands, and you watch them kill you.  Seriously.  That's how I feel.  No matter how nice the doctors are.  Sigh.  I would rather go through labour pain, at least the pain is sweet.

Stress.

Hehehe apa kaitan gambar kaki dalam tajuk posting kali ni?  Saje nak tunjuk, that's me chillin' by the poolside, menghilangkan stress di benak fikiran :p.

I had a pretty interesting conversation with someone.  Ah well, it was actually work- related conversation, and this someone was telling me how his current job had affected him, mentally and emotionally.  Him, being where he is right now, does not want to be there.  After a month of performing the work he was mandated to do, he had to see a doctor.  Bila Doc buat stress test, his stress shoot up from 80 to 300+.  Kata Doctor, your boss had given him the license to kill himself.

Tapi entry ni bukan tentang this person in particular.  It is about all of us.  It is about me.  Kadang- kadang stress gets unmanaged and turns to rage, hatred, and emotional breakdown.  But do we understand what stress actually is, and how it could affect us, if left unmanaged?

Sigh.  I myself dah rasa bila stress tu sampai kemuncak dan emotional breakdown berlaku, rage berlaku.  Tapi sungguh memang tak suka.  Paling menyampah bila, sejak bertahun- tahun lama nya perkara yang paling menyesakkan benak adalah kerja.  Tak pernah perkara personal yang efek mood sampai sebegitu sekali.  Pernah jugak jumpa doctor sebab sakit perut, dan doctor conclude yang sakit tu disebab kan stress.  Yepp, I can see you laughing.  But this is the truth that you and I tak tau, yang stress boleh efek the following, your brain and nerves, muscles and joints, heart, stomach, pancreas, intestines and our reproductive system.  Amazed tak, macamana something so small can affect your entire body :)

Don't wana get too techincal, I am not a Doctor. Tapi in general all I am trying to say is that sometimes kita tak sedar what stress does to us.  Kita kena belajar manage stress kita (pesanan untuk diri sendiri).  Doctor penah cakap, if I want to manage my stress, I need to exercise.  Why, because exercises release endorphin i.e. the happy hormone (I think).  Sebab kalau dibiarkan, stress jugak boleh menggemukkan dan menjadikan kita someone we are not.

So now, if you are often stressed out like me, let's manage our stress together!  I will continue my daily jog (almost) at the park, find times for coffee with friends, retail theraphy, hair treatment, massage, chat with friends in order to manage my stress.  I will continue to plant positive thoughts (macam orang semalam cakap la, attitude kena positive, kalau tak habis lah...)  So let's do this together!    Do share how you manage your stress, and together we'll become positive people.

P/S: Hebat tak Diana AM mengarut hehehe.

Physio for asthma patients

Just a short entry on something new yang I belajar masa anak sakit baru- baru ni.

Baru minggu lepas my precious was warded for three days sebab asthma.  Masa awal bulan hari tu Ayesha memang dah kena attack for the first time.  Main cause would be the house renovation, I would think.  Iyelah, habuk simen, cat dan sebagainya.  Kemudian Mommy dia sikit punya cerdik, bawak mandi sungai.  Masa nak menghampiri sungai tu dia memang dah batuk teruk.  Malam tu pulak, kena bulu kucing dan habuk.  Apa lagi, the whole night wheezing tak tidur.  Dah baik seminggu dua, the attack came back.

This time around bila nafas dia dah bunyik ketat sangat, doctor pon dah suggest hourly neb combivent.  Kemudian malam bila malam dia reduce ke every 4 hours so that Ayesha sleeps better.  The first day at KPMC tu we were visited by the physiotherapist Madam Kavitha.  OK, agak jahil soal perubatan, that's why I am not a doctor.  I never knew that physio could help ashmatic patient.  For my baby who apparently has 'acute ashma' dan 'atopic', the physio boleh kurangkan kahak dia.

Anak yang lena lepas physio :-)
The physiotherapist (or whatever you call someone who does physio, ooops) explained how when baby coughs and they don't know how to get rid of their phlegm, akan tumbuh lah some sort of roots in your lungs.  I am not even sure if I have explained this technically correct.  LOL.  But more or less I think it means that the chest gets congested with phlegm.  So physio helps to get rid of the phlegm, she said in several different ways, 1) through the poop, 2) more coughing, 3) sneezing.  I was told not to worry if suddenly my baby coughs more or poop m ore and the poop has slimy stuff in it.  That means the phlegms were flushed out.  Sidetrack sikit, no wonder baby ku lambat baik sebab she didn't poop, at all during the three days.

What the physiotherapist did was,
  • Mula- mula baringkan anak terlentang, lepas tu lapik dada dia dengan tuala atau selimut nipis.  This is so that you don't hurt your baby.
  • Then she clutched her hand (one hand only) so that only the palm of your hands and four fingers (without the thumb would touch your baby's body).  Mdm Kavitha cakap, kalau tangan kita flat, anak akan rasa macam kena pukul.  Ini akan menakutkan dan menyakiti anak.
  • Kemudian mula menepuk bahagian dada anak, elakkan bahagian tulang.  Ingat, dada bahagian atas je.  Mulakan kiri atau kanan.  Tapi menurut Mdm Kavitha, kiraan tepukan mesti sama.  Kalau 10 kanan, 10 jugak kat dada kiri.
  • Pastu dia baringkan meniarap, tutup dengan towel dan ulang semua diatas.
Physio ni diulang selama tiga hari kat hospital, kemudian kena continue lagi dua hari at home.  Lepas tu, dia kata boleh buat seminggu sekali.

Pesan beliau jugak,
Lagilah, beliau menangis- nangis ngehehehe.  Kejam tau Ayesha ni.

Apapun ini memang new info untuk I, and hopefully selain menggunakan puff dan ambik singulair for treatment, physio ni dapat membantu Ayesha jugak la kan.... Kesian dia kalau asyik kena serang, yer tak.  Cepat sihat ye anak, Mommy loves you more than anything else in the world.

Our prayer for ayahngah

We had a short, unplanned, last minute trip to Kuantan and it was no vacation for us.  My uncle (ayahngah), adik pada mak sedang mengalami masalah jantung dan pada masa tu warded di KPJ Kuantan.  He'd been warded since the previous week at Hospital Jerantut, then asked to be transferred to KPJ for further diagnosis.  During the transfer process by ambulance he felt unconscious and remained so for several days.  Kitorang memang tak sempat nak melawat dia masa kat Jerantut.  Masa kat Kuantan, dah almost a week kat sana baru kami sampai.  Though 'short trip', it was a 2 and half hours journey nevertheless.  Jadi disebabkan hubby tiba- tiba kena panggil kerja pagi Sabtu tu, he said let's spend the night there, carikan hotel.  So we spent the night kat Vistana Hotel (see the post about hotel here).

After transferred to KPJ Kuantan.
Hari sabtu yang kitorang sampai, dia dah sedar Alhamdulillah.  Tapi the sight of him, Ya Allah it was just too heartbreaking.  He looked small and sick, and was exactly like my great Grandpa (his father).  I can't stand to look at him for long.  Apparently what he had was a blocked artery, just one small artery.  I am no doctor, so tak tau camana nak explain, cuma yang I tau it wasn't the main arteries yang block.  Tapi this small one ni, menurut pakar kat KPJ tu, agak pelik sebab dia tak pernah tengok keadaan di mana a small blocked artery macam tu boleh mengakibatkan pengsan dan keadaan yang teruk macam my uncle alami.  I remember my brother told me (bila dia visit malam yang dia dipindahkan dari Hospital Jerantut ke KPJ) that he seems lifeless, and like there was no hope Wallahualam.

Masa unconscious, dalam CCU KPJ Kuantan.
The doctor recommended angioplasty, a non- surgical procedure that can be used to open a blocked heart artery.  In my ayahngah's case, a stent placement was required.  In another word ianya merupakan procedure di mana 'benda asing' dimasukkan ke dalam pembuluh darah untuk membuka laluan darah.  Kan blockage, maka prosedur tu akan bukak la kat mana tempat yang block tu.  Unfortunately diorang tak boleh buat kat KPJ Kuantan so at that point of time, it was either Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) or at another private (which ayahngah then was referred to Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur).

For information, angioplasty ni as mentioned above, is non-surgical, jadi tidak ada sebarang open surgery dilakukan.  Am not sure that the risks are for angioplasty, cuma yang I tau since my Father In Law (FIL) pun dah pernah buat, is that you tak boleh bangun dalam 6 jam gitu... Then kena refrain from driving dan kerja- kerja berat dalam masa 2 minggu gitu lah.  For me, kalau dah ada heart problem itu dah memang sign yang diberikan bahawasanya anda perlu berehat dan jangan buat kerja- kerja berat.

Progressing well, dah bangun makan.
Rasanya I was informed (somewhere during the many conversation we had masa kat Kuantan) that he had one done in the arm already.  I assume tak effective, so that's why they had to do another one, so yeah you can imagine the big, fat, bill.  For me, the procedure is not a guarantee that your heart problem will go away forever.  Another time when I was waiting at PHKL for ayahngah to be admitted, I had a chat with another patient who had done angioplasty twice, cost him RM100K+ for both times and a monthly RM1K for medication but he is still unwell.  So yes, the situation varies.  Macam FIL I, dah buat tu dah takde mengah- mengah dah dan nampaknye makan pun dah tak ada pantang larang gayanye.  Tak beringat, boleh mengakibatkan kemudaratan kan...
Alhamdulillah, look at him after several days tak sedar, and after weeks of warded.

Anyway I hope ayahngah will quit smoking, and quit all that fatty food macam sup gearbox, daging dan sebagainya.  I pray that Allah gives him a second chance, and that he will be well and get to see both his sons graduate (for PHD and diploma), and dapat tengok cucu nya bila kazen I dah kawen nanti.  May Allah protect him, and his family.

Baca kat sini, ada jadi masa angioplasty dilakukan: Source: http://www.webmd.com/heart-disease/treatment-angioplasty-stents

First, a cardiac catheterization is performed as part of angioplasty. You will receive medication for relaxation, and then the doctor will numb the site where the catheter will be inserted with local anesthesia.

Next, a sheath (a thin plastic tube) is inserted into an artery -- usually in your groin, but sometimes in the arm. A long, narrow, hollow tube, called a catheter, is passed through the sheath and guided up the blood vessel to the arteries surrounding the heart.

A small amount of contrast material is injected through the catheter and is photographed with an X-ray as it moves through the heart's chambers, valves, and major vessels. From the digital pictures of the contrast material, the doctors can tell whether the coronary arteries are narrowed and whether the heart valves are working correctly.

If the decision is made to perform angioplasty, the doctor will move the catheter into the artery with the blockage.  He or she will then perform one of the interventional procedures described below.
The procedure usually lasts about 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours, but the preparation and recovery time add several hours. You may stay in the hospital overnight to be observed by the medical staff.

False alarm la Ayesha Amani ooiii....

The word, when it came out from my princess' mouth memang akan terus trigger alarm bagi Mommy.  As someone who had carried her for 9 months, and had gone through the labour pain to deliver this little princess, I couldn't take lightly anything that came out from her.  Dia jenis suka mengadu, gatal la, sakit la, maklumlah manja.  Selagi tak ada adik, macam gini la jadinya, right?

It all started when I came back from work yesterday, she pooped and was waiting to be cleaned.  Then I took her into our bathroom dalam bilik I.  Pasang air suam, washed her and mandikan terus untuk petang tu. Seronok main air.  Tengok pooped dia lain macam, a bit watery dari biasa, greenish and banyak.  I assumed this was because she had eaten lodsa veges the night before (dia suka makan sup sayur).  Dah pakai diaper siap baju semua, she kept on saying 'yak, cha yak'.  Dia cakap dia poop lah tu, macam biasa.  Tengok takde so biarkan aje.  Sepanjang kami pegi pasar malam tu pun asyik cakap 'yak, yak, yak'.

Lepas tu dah siap makan malam, badan dan baju dia dah comot, Daddy pulak bawak dia mandi.  Kami gelak- gelak tengok dia seronok mandi, lepas mandi I ambik dia, lap badan dan nak pakaikan baju.  Tapi dia tiba-tiba cakap sambil pegang her private part (pp), 'memi... akitt...kittttttt'.  Zupppp perasaan Mommy terus tak keruan, grabbed her and baringkan dia kat katil.  Tried to peek kat pp dia tapi dia jerit- jerit 'akitttt akitttt'.  Only Allah knows how I felt then.  Sempat nampak macam ada what I thought in the first place was nanah.  (Of course I was wrong, I am the type who quickly jump into conclusion).  Then I screamed at my husband, 'sayang cepattt can we please take her to the hospital.'  At the same time Ayesha Amani was crying hysterically.

Kitorang sampai kat Columbia Asia Hospital (which happens to be dekat rumah) at 9:05pm macam tu.  Kebetulan I memang tau every Wednesday they have night paediatric clinic tapi sampai 9:00pm je.  I tried my luck anyway and kebetulan Doc ada.  Ada 1 patient tengah jumpa masa tu so I waited patiently while Ayesha was already running around the waiting area (she didn't look or act macam orang sakit la I must say masa ni.)  So hubby nudge at me, and cakap 'you rasa anak you tu betul- betul sakit or dia trick kita sebab nak keluar.'  Hehehe.  Betoi gak.

Bila dah jumpa Doc, baru tengok apa sebenarnya kat pp dia.  Kotoran.  Agaknya dah berapa hari la kan tak cuci bersih- bersih.  Doc pun cakap kena cuci sket.  Ayesha tak nangis pon hokeyyy.  Just looked at the Doc in curiosity while Doc examined, sambil membuat aksi nak cepat- cepat bangun.  Marahhh marah.

Lepas examine, Doc cakap she's fine.  Takda sign of injury atau infection.  But but but, Doc is very concerned.  Bila anak mengadu sakit kat pp dia kata I must take immediate action.  See who she's playing with, who has access to my house dan sebagainya.  That I must observe if there's any behavioural change.  I know what the Doc was trying to indicate but I taknak mention tu kat sini.  But both Hubby and I understood.  Doc pun ajar (things which I already knew) how to clean her pp.  For girls he said it is a little complicated, sebab kena cuci from front to back.  And he also explained about the organ and what will happen if she really has an infection.

Then we continue to talk with the Doc.  Bila Doc dengar tentang kelakuan dia everyday, and Doc watched her play with all the toys in the room, Doc started indicating that... 'you know yes anak kecil takkan tipu bila dia sakit.  Tapi you should also know that they do all kind of things to grab your attention.  Is she the only child right now?  Is she close to you?  What is she like at home?

Dah sesi bercerita dengan Doc, yep he agreed that Ayesha did it untuk menarik perhatian kitorang.  But but but, Doc said you must still also observe her ok, and make sure she's safe and that you don't let any stranger play with her.

Sampai rumah, dia buat lagi, tak cakap sakit dah tapi asyik cakap 'yak yak yak'.  Ayesha kantoi bila Daddy nak masuk toilet, tapi Ayesha yang sibuk nak buka baju and diaper.  Konon- konon yakkk, dan cakap 'adiii adiii'... Hemmmmmmmmmm.  Kawan- kawan faham tak sekarang apa yang berlaku di sebalik entry panjang lebar ni?  Ayesha sebenarnya... nak main airrrrrrrrrr.  So dia tricked kitoang, yak la, sakit la... No wonder Doc diagnose tak jumpa apa- apa (selain pp yang tak berapa nak clean).

Haihhh.  Anak oh anak...

Anyway di sebalik kejadian ni, I dapati bahawasanya I kena la juga belek- belek pp anak sekali sekala, kena tegur sikit maid pasal kebersihan anak.  So I have learnt not to neglect my responsibility towards Ayesha's general well being.  Didn't make me a bad mother did it?

Why I love my daily jog at Lake Valley, BTHO.

Ewahh, surprise surprise so it has been more than 2 weeks of jogging (or briskwalk) at Lake Valley, Bandar Tun Hussein Onn.  I tried my best la to at least buat satu pusingan berlari, atau gagal (meaning semput sikit pada hari tersebut), I akan briskwalk.  The aim is not so much to lose weight, but to keep fit, increase my stamina, manage my rage and stress.  I realised that recently I experience extreme fatigue which lead to stress, which makes me a less enjoyable person to be around.  I think I can see results already.  I become more relaxed, more energetic and yesssss, less stress.  Tak percaya? Hehehe.  Sweating also makes me feel good these days.

My daily exercise also involves Ayesha and Hubby.  This makes it EXTREMELY fun, being around the two of them whom I love dearly with all my heart.  For Ayesha, this is more to make sure she sleeps better at night.  Ayesha can run too ok, but she doesn't have proper shoes because Mommy is yet to go shopping for her running shoes.  So instead she wears these cute red Garfield shoes I bought her.  I let her run slowly to catch up after me.  Tapi kesian Ayesha, baru- baru ni she broke her toe nail, sebab Mommy lupa potong.  Must have hurt her, kan?  But its OK, Ayesha has to know what pain feels like every once in a while.

They also have playground here.  Sesuai for all ages.  Ada slides, swings, macam- macam ada.  Not crowded.  So normally after we run, we will let Ayesha enjoy the playground.  Or, we take turns to entertain her at the playground.  Meaning, Daddy jaga dulu while Mommy run, and Mommy takes over for Daddy to run.  You can see Ayesha loving this attention!  Cheeky girl.

But you know what we all enjoy the most, after running?  Feeding the fishes.  Ada banyak ikan dalam tasik tu.  Ada ikan keli besar, kap, talapia dan macam- macam jenis ikan which I don't know the names.  My daughter loves fishes.  She calls them 'fish', if you tell her ikan, she wouldn't know yet.  And every other living animals that walks (or flies) are 'cats' too her.  Ah well, she doesn't call them cat of course, just 'aooww' the way cat sounds.  She calls the birds 'aowww' too.  So everyday we would bring breads or palettes for the fishes and of course birds.  Tapi tasik ni tak selamat sangat.  Tak ada pagar.  Just tebing macam tu je.  Anak- anak lasak seperti Ayesha perlu di kawal rapi.

Ermmm you also see all kind of people here at the tasik.  The friendly type, the mind your own business type, the look at you like you've done something wrong type, the hey you've got a cute daughter type, the awwww she's so cute type.  All kind.  Ayesha would say 'bye' to everybody everytime she passes by people.  Too friendly, I have actually asked her not too because I am worried what friendliness will cause her one day.  Observing people while you run is a fun thing to do, is it not?

Oooohhh jangan lupa the handsome, I've got muscular arms, sweaty but yummy guys.  Ooops a bit inappropriate, eh Mommy?  Let's enjoy the scene quietly or else my hubby will forbid me from going there hahaha.

So, yes, I have enjoyable daily half hour or more spend at the Lake Valley.  Well maybe not daily if it is raining but almost daily.  Loving every minute of it.  Let's see how often we can keep this up!!!
