Steamed glutinous rice a.k.a pulut kukus

This was the first time I tried steaming the pulut instead of the normal rice cooker method. The result was much better than  rice cooker because it doesn't stick to your pot, and didn't create any crust.

If you'd like to give it a try here's how:

1) Soak the glutinous rice or pulut for at least 2 hours. I used 3 small rice pots of pulut.
2) Once its ready, boil water in your steamer. Place aluminum foil on top of the pot, if you have steamer pot with big holes like mine to avoid mess.
3) Steam for 20-25 minutes.
4) Remove from the stove, mix coconut milk (already added salt to taste). You may omit this part if you don't want more fats in your food 😅.
5) Put back to steam for another 15 minutes. Remove from stove.

Wallaaa now you have a nicely cooked pulut.  You can have it with anything you like. I had mine with 'rendang hitam' and 'sambal bilis'.  Sinful. But satisfyingly sinful hahaha.
